After merciless battles in particularly harsh conditions, the first Rallye des Coteaux is won by Julien Toniutti who offers himself a third consecutive victory after the Rallye de l’Ain and the Rallye du Dourdou. He finished third in the Elite SW Motech 2017 scratch classification. Having overlooked two rallies (Corsica and the Ardennes) by favoring his participation in the Tourist Trophy, Julien was not aiming for the title … but we are not giving up the rallies like that !

"With two races less, I could not aim for the title. The Tourist Trophy forced me to ignore the Rallye de Corse and the Rallye des Ardennes. I have three consecutive victories and for me it is a great consolation prize ", confirms Julien Toniutti to MNC.

The second step of the final podium is occupied by Benoît Nimis, who finishes like last year in fifth place Elite SW Motech.

The third place in the general classification of the Rallye des Coteaux is occupied by Maxime Mettra, CTM83 driver who thus offers the title in Rallye 2 Tecnoglobe to his KTM 690 Duke 4.

Congratulations also to all the "finishers" of this particularly difficult rally as well as to other category champions such as Romain Cauquil, Rallye 3 champion, who finished the race with a remarkable thirteenth place in the Elite SW Motech ranking, on the handlebars for the used a KTM 690 Duke.

"I took off like a plane in the first half of the championship, then I had to manage my championship more calmly," Bruno told MNC. "But I was in a great context, very well surrounded by a tight-knit team, I never lacked anything at the material level, with a great machine and excellent support within the team. Ideal conditions for obtain this title that I had set for myself! "

Let us also salute the performances of ancestors like Christian Lacoste who led his ancient 500 BSA to the title of champion of France "Anciennes". As this category is only classified on the day stage, it should be noted that Christian finished this stage of the Coteaux rally in 74th place out of 107 classified, without taking any hourly penalty. !

We already knew it, but it was Nick Ayrton (absent at the Rallye des Coteaux) riding his Suzuki 1100 GSXR who won the 2017 title in "Classics", his sixth title in the category. !
As for the Trophies, Sonia Barbot (KTM 690Duke) wins the Women’s Trophy. Eric and Laurence Nicod (BMW S 1000 XR) win the Duo Trophy, Magnard Emeric (Triumph Street Triple) wins the Hope Trophy and Frederic Menard (known as "Zebulon") the 125 Trophy.

Finally in the Sidecar, the Laur / Ferrieu team won the category at the Rallye des Coteaux but Alain Amblard and Alexandra Garcia (side Suzuki 1300 Hayabusa) won the title of French Sidecar 2017 champions despite their retirement in the first stage, their direct competing Galvani / Bresse crew being absent from Les Coteaux.

A beautiful championship is therefore coming to an end … All that remains is to complete the final preparations for the Moto Tour from October 7 to 15 before putting away leathers and helmets until the 2018 season..
See you very soon for the fifteenth (and the last in this form …) edition of the Moto Tour, which will as always be broadcast day by day on MNC. Stay connected !
