Sit more upright on 401 and 701

Accessories provider ABM has developed a Superbike conversion for the Husqvarna Vitpilen models 401 and 701, which results in a significantly more upright sitting position. And ABM has also developed an alternative for the rear.

The new Vitpilen models from Husqvarna stretch their pilots low over the tank. Those who prefer to sit more upright are now served by the accessories provider ABM. With a specially developed superbike kit, the original clip-on handlebars are replaced by a slightly wider, but above all higher, superbike handlebar made of aluminum. 

More upright sitting position

The kit also includes a black anodized fork bridge and all the small parts required for the conversion. Assembly instructions and a parts certificate are also included. The matching, butted booster handlebar has to be purchased separately and is available in three different colors. In both models, the superbike conversion results in a higher handlebar position of around 70 millimeters and the handling is to be significantly improved. The kit costs 349 euros for the Vitpilen 701 and 369 euros for the 401. The handlebar is in the price list for around 90 euros.

Clear the stern

With the rear conversion, the indicators are smaller and the license plate disappears under the hump.

If you already have the tools at hand, the cockpit can also be spruced up. As a replacement for the original mirror, the ABM subsidiary brand Wunderkind offers custom mirrors at a unit price of around 100 euros. The speedometer is upgraded by a glued, black, glossy anodized cover at a price of 90 euros.

If the elegant, short rear end of the Vitpilen models is to be brought into focus even more, the license plate can be moved to the left side next to the rear wheel with a corresponding license plate holder for around 350 euros. As a replacement for the serial indicators that are no longer available, Wunderkind offers LED mini indicators (price per pair: 100 euros), which can be mounted on existing attachment points under the rear frame. There is also a report for the rear conversion.
