Arnaud Friedrich: Schleiz is your favorite route
The mountain and valley railway in the midst of nature has its own laws. The 17-year-old youngster wants to finally establish himself in the top ten on the traditional route in Thuringia.

Arnaud Friedrich has two top ten positions in four races. In Zolder he was around two seconds faster in the stock sport class on the spectacular route with the choppy stop-and-go passages. The VanZon Remeha BMW team and especially boss Werner Daemen were full of praise. Nevertheless, the 17-year-old youngster from Limbach-Oberfrohna is not completely satisfied with the results. “The top ten are my declared goal”, he holds on. “That’s why the first run was okay. There was a lot more action going on in the second. A small mistake in the battle for positions cost me two places and so it came to 13th place.” The Schleizer Dreieck, on which the third IDM round of the 2017 season will take place from July 18 to 30, 2017, is one of Friedrich’s favorite routes. There are even two top ten places on the weekend?
