With the Psyche, electric motorcycle manufacturer Curtiss has presented a new model that would like to rank in the LiveWire price segment and compete with the E-Harley.

Within a few weeks, Curtiss has done the hat trick almost perfectly and announced a third electric model after the Zeus and Hades with the psyche. In contrast to the two first-mentioned bikes, which are supposed to change hands for almost 75,000 US dollars, Curtiss wants to offer a significantly cheaper model with the Psyche. However, the psyche is still not a bargain with a starting price of around 30,000 US dollars. At least in terms of price, it fits into the category of a Harley-Davidson LiveWire, which can be had for a little under 30,000 US dollars.

The appearance of the psyche is similar to Zeus & Hades

Externally, the “low budget” curtiss is definitely reminiscent of its two sister models. However, the psyche is not quite as spectacular as the Zeus or the Hades. Technically, too, she must be Zeus & Unsurprisingly, Hades gave up. Curtiss has not yet revealed a lot about the new bike. In specialist circles, there is speculation about two different equipment variants, which could differ in the drive and the battery. There is a 48 hp and another 96 hp variant in the room. An infographic published by Curtiss, which compares some technical aspects of the psyche with those of the Harley-Davidson LiveWire, suggests this. On the infographic, among other things, the total weight, which should be 170 kilograms and the greatest possible range (260 kilometers) of the psyche are mentioned.

Aside from this infographic, not much is known about the Curtiss psyche yet.

The new Curtiss Psyche should be available from autumn 2021 at the earliest. Accordingly, we will have to wait a little longer for better or worse before the manufacturer releases more information about the new bike. If you consider the almost two-week intervals between the presentations of the last bikes presented, Curtiss could soon surprise us again with a completely new model. Should a new announcement actually follow, however, we can confidently assume that a new bike will be named again after a figure from Greek mythology, as is the case with Zeus, Hades and Psyche.

Conclusion

After the announcement of the two very high-priced bikes Zeus and Hades, the now presented and significantly cheaper Psyche surprised a little. Apparently, the still young manufacturer is serious and wants to have a serious say in the electric motorcycle segment.
