Who would have thought: Erik Buell is returning. Under the new Fuell brand, new bikes with electric drives are to be put on the wheels in the near future. The two prototypes Fuell Flow-1 and Fuell Fluid-1 are the beginning.

New name, new concepts and a new target group: Erik Buell returns with the newly founded Fuell brand. The focus of the new brand is no longer on sporty combustion motorcycles, but on urban mobility. Fuell was created through a cooperation between Erik Buell, Frederic Vasseur, head of the Alfa Romeo Formula 1 team, and Francois-Xavier Terny, who made a name for himself by founding VanguardSpark Motorcycles. With the two prototypes Fuell Flow-1 and Fuell Fluid-1, the first two potential models of the newly founded brand have already been presented.

In the first official press release from Fuell, some more details about the two new bikes were also published. The market launch of the electric bike Fuell Fluid-1 should take place this year. The electric motorcycle Fuell Flow-1 is to follow in 2021. Both models should be particularly suitable for use in the city. The Fuell Fluid-1 will be available in two different configurations in the future. The entry-level variant, which the company founders compare with a 125 model, should produce 15 hp. In addition, there will be another version with a more powerful electric motor that will deliver 47 hp and thus be suitable for A2.

The Fuell Flow-1 should be available from 2021.

The other model, called Fluid-1, will also appear in two different versions. The bike is used as a pedelec with a top speed of up to 32 km / h and as a so-called “S-Pedelec” (Maximum speed up to 45 km / h). The range should be up to approx. 200 kilometers. Fuell promises that both new bikes will be ideally suited for getting around the city due to their supposedly particularly easy handling.

The question remains how much the new Fuell models will cost. And the company founders are already providing initial information on this. Pricing for the Fuell Fluid-1 will start at $ 3,295. The Fuell Flow-1 electric motorcycle is said to be available from $ 10,995.
