Tried waterproof touring boots

Light, airy and really comfortable – the waterproof touring boot Gaerne Helium completely convinced us in the first test.

The inside zipper of the half-height cowhide leather boot with Gore-Tex membrane opens almost to the sole, making it easy to get on. The wearing comfort is then also excellent, stretch material on the instep and heel hugs nicely, there are no pressure points. A motorcycle boot with which you can walk a few meters!

Waterproof and still air-permeable

In terms of protective function, the Helium is appropriate for the intended use as a tourer in the best sense of the word: fairly stable (oil and water-resistant) soles, toes and heels also feel comfortably protected, only the soft areas around ankle and shaft seem more comfortable.

In the test, the Gore-Tex membrane held tight even in a water bath, and at the same time it shines with good air permeability: even on warmer days, feet do not become sweaty. The pleasantly simple, timeless-looking Helium touring boot is also ideal for wearing under jeans that are not too tight, is normal and has a flawless finish.

Noticed positively: High wearing comfort, appropriate protective equipment, simple design

Noticed negatively: nothing

Sizes: 42 to 47

Price: 249.90 euros (RRP)

MOTORRAD verdict: 5 stars out of a possible 5

Conclusion

In the first test, the high level of comfort, the appropriate protective equipment and the simple design were particularly convincing.
