Electrically powered two-wheelers are predestined for use in urban areas. Here style and casualness count more than range and performance.

100 km far and 110 km / h fast

The three Spanish entrepreneurs behind Ox Motorcycles are now presenting the Ox One precisely tailored to these framework conditions. With an 8 kW electric motor that sits in the rear wheel as a hub motor, the Ox One is in the 125cc segment. Even with a top speed of 110 km / h, she poaches in full light motorcycle areas.

In the belly of the Ox One there are two removable 70V / 20 Ah battery modules, each weighing 14 kilograms. They should give the One an operating range of 100 kilometers. When the juice runs out, the batteries have to be plugged into a conventional socket for two hours before the cafe trip continues.

Extremely classic appearance

When it comes to the visual appearance of the One, which weighs 140 kilograms, all elements contribute to the Cafe Racer claim. The wire spoke wheels are equipped with balloon tires and a grooved profile. The dummy tank is teardrop-shaped, the bench is flat and slim. At the rear, the round LED taillight sits on a stubby fender, flanked by LED indicators. A round LED headlight sits in front of the conventional fork, which hides its stanchions under bellows. The One is also optionally available with a USD fork, then without bellows. Stereo suspension struts support the aluminum swing arm on the tubular steel frame. In addition to the electric motor, braking power is provided by disc brakes on both wheels, which are supported by a CBS system.

The cockpit is contemporary and modern. A TFT display makes wireless contact with smartphones. The corresponding app combines navigation, driving data analysis and warning functions. In addition, it is used for self-diagnosis of the Ox One and as protection against theft.
