Motorcycle manufacturer KTM calls the RC 390 R back to the workshops. The steering stubs on the small sport bikes from model year 2018 can break.

Incorrect heat treatment after casting the handlebar clamps can cause cracks in the clamp areas of the handlebar stub. In extreme cases, these cracks in the grain boundaries of the material can cause the handlebar clamp to break off together with the mounted handlebar.

Everyone is affected RC 390 R models from model year 2018. As part of the recall, the steering stubs will therefore be replaced on both sides. Owners of affected motorcycles will be contacted by the manufacturer and asked to take their motorcycle to the workshop.
