There are brake light systems for motorcycle helmets that use acceleration sensors to decide whether they light up or not, and there are systems for which a transmitter is plugged into the light signal chain of the motorcycle. This then recognizes when the brake light on the motorcycle is activated and transmits the command by radio to the light element on the helmet. The H1 repeater from Redcat also uses this technology. At the CES, the manufacturer from Tallinn, Estonia, will present this product, which should already be ready for series production.
320 g, 8 hours active, 2 hours charging time
The plastic housing of the brake light should be waterproof and dustproof as well as impact and fire resistant and withstand temperatures between -5 and +40 degrees Celsius. It weighs 320 grams including the bracket and has a brake light, a track light, two yellow indicators and two white and blue side lights. The system gets power from an integrated battery, which is supposed to provide eight hours of juice and two hours of charging time. It is charged via USB, the USB-C cable is included.
The Repeater H1 fits most motorcycle helmets on the market. It is attached in three places with the help of 3M adhesive pads.
