The Italian provider Tacita has extensively revised its all-electric sports enduro T-Race for 2018.

Standstill is a step backwards, and this is especially true for electrically powered vehicles. Accordingly, Tacita has made extensive modifications to its sport enduro T-Race for the 2018 model year. While the chassis remained unchanged, the drive and the battery were refilled.

The capacity of the latter could be doubled with the same weight. With 9 kWh, up to 100 kilometers or three hours of off-road fun should now be possible. There has also been plenty of progress with the drives. The motors with 11 and 27 kW output and 60 Nm torque each could be slimmed down by 12 kilograms. The 34 kW and 85 Nm electric motor lost 7 kilograms as a result of the revision. The use of power should now also be significantly more controllable. The ratios of the five-speed gearbox and the clutch have also been modified. The reverse gear was retained.

E-bike with reserve circuit

The onboard charger has also been optimized so that the T-Race becomes mobile again faster when the energy runs out. In addition, there is now a reserve circuit that takes effect when the battery level is 10% and switches the drive to creep mode so that it can still reach the next socket.

The engine is now a little further back in the frame.

It stayed with the two engine mappings “Eco” and “power” as well as the adjustable braking power of the electric motor. The tubular steel frame, which now takes the electric motor 20 millimeters further back, has also remained unchanged, which is supposed to benefit the weight distribution.

A Mupo upside-down fork with 300 millimeters of travel continues at the front, while an Ohlins central spring strut with 280 millimeters of travel sits at the rear. It also remains with the 21-inch front wheel with 90/90 tires and the 18-inch rear wheel with 140/80 tires.
