Triumph seeks sprinters
Four starting places for Glemseck 101 are available

Triumph is starting its own sprint series at the Glemseck 101 event in 2019 and is looking for four 1/8 mile specialists with potential.

From August 30th to September 1st, 2019, the Glemseck 101 event near Stuttgart will again be about fame and honor in the motorcycle sprint over the 1/8 mile. For the first time, Triumph is staging its own racing event in which a total of eight “speed specialists” will race for victory on converted Triumph bikes.

Four of the total of eight starting places will be occupied by Triumph dealers, four further places will be awarded by a jury of experts among Sprint fans. The application period runs from 3.6. until July 29, 2019.

Only Triumph models permitted

Anyone with a suitable bike can take part, although it must be a triumph that must still be recognizable as such even after permitted modifications. In addition, the applicant should bring personal data, a short description of the conversion in which the highlights become clear, a name for the machine, a motto for the race, the best possible photos and ideally a short introduction video.

The technical requirements for the sprint bikes are straightforward: the motorcycle must be in perfect technical condition and have two brakes that work independently of each other. In addition, extreme chassis modifications are not permitted – specifically, the bike should still “be able to drive up an Alpine pass”, as the organizers of Glemseck 101 have specified. During the sprint itself, the driver must wear appropriate safety clothing.

Who wants to sprint with – This way.
