Shipping boxes have been piled up to the ceiling for a year or more, and not only in the German little room. Even in far-away Brazil there seems to be a lot of cardboard. So what to do Sure, rebuild a current boxer engine from BMW 1: 1 and very true to the original. Reminds a little of that Papp-S-1000-RR from Thailand. But it has a real engine with 7 HP, can drive, but looks more like a dented shoebox from the middle distance. The talented hobbyist from Brazil can top that: he builds one complete BMW R1250 GS remarkably accurate from cardboard.
Steel tubular frame
The backbone of the cardboard GS is a network of thin PVC and steel tubes, not unlike those of a bed frame. The tubes are connected with threaded rods and screws for stiffening. The builder snips and sticks a complete GS over the frame and the engine, and according to the crash bars, it is probably a fully equipped Adventure. Including case system, mirror, cockpit with navigation system, brakes, wheels and tires, hand guards and you haven’t seen. Everything was made of cardboard with astonishing accuracy and detail. All in all, stable enough to carry the young man.
