Decidedly, Voxan does not … Bought by the Monegasque, the French manufacturer should normally bounce back thanks to this specialist in electric mobility via. Unfortunately, the owner of Venturi stops its electrical industrial activity, de facto putting an end to the project of this battery-powered Voxan.

The Wattman "Voxan-Venturi" will not go beyond the prototype stage

Gildo Pallanca Pastor (below), owner of Venturi Automobiles, has decided to put an end to the production of electric vehicles: both cars like the sporty Festish or the buggy America project as well as motorcycles like the amazing Wattman prototype that ” he wanted to produce through Voxan, bought in 2010.

The Monegasque businessman – who had to face health problems in turn and then the murder of his mother, Helène, and his driver who was visiting him at the Nice hospital (06) in May 2014 – , would now like to focus Venturi’s activity on speed record attempts and electric car races…

The Wattman not having to our knowledge gone beyond the stage of the model – the rolling version then the marketing were however announced in the "20 months" after its presentation at the Paris Motor Show in 2013 -, this "Voxan with batteries" designed by Sacha Lakic will therefore not see the light of day. No more than the possible Voxan electric scooters that Gildo Pallanca Pastor told us about two years ago..

Fans of the "real" thermal Voxans will probably not shed a tear at the news, as the Wattman had aroused, largely because of its design and its barely believable performance: 200 hp, 200 Nm of torque and above all 180 km of range with only 30 minutes of charging…

Still, as surprising and ambitious as it was, the Wattman was perhaps the last alternative to one day cross paths with a motorcycle bearing a Voxan logo. And just for that, the shutdown of Venturi Automobiles is sad news…
