Great first this year in the history of the Erzberg Rodeo, this enduro race known as "the most difficult in the world" which took place this weekend in Austria: an electric motorcycle finished the event thanks to the Zero MX, the electric cross bike from Californian manufacturer Zero Motorcycles (read) in the hands of Richard Kreidl.

Although 1151st at the finish, the Austrian rider still outstripped a hundred riders on petrol motocross bars..

Kreidl said he was "enthusiastic about the powerful torque of the Zero MX, especially in the curves and technical parts of the track. The ultra light weight of 70 kg of the Zero MX helped to make the difference compared to motorcycles of 250 cc of which the weight is greater ". 

His teammate, German Martin Kock, finished in 1188th position while the "Prolog Iron Road" was won by Austrian Ossi Reisinger on a Suzuki.

Zero Motorcycles offers a range of four electric motorcycles: the Zero S Supermotard, the Zero DS trail, the Zero MX supercross and the Zero X enduro (read).
