Giant & Muller Delite

For example, the third generation of the Delite of Giant & Muller, who wants to impress in the future, among other things with double reach. The tour bike driven by a Bosch mid-engine will continue to be in 25 or 45 km / h versions. Optionally, a second 500 Wh battery can be ordered in the future, which doubles the range potential. The Delite is also offered in five features with chain switching, hub gear or automatic. The at least 23 kilograms of heavy, full-sprung e-bike, which conafted practically the luggage rack, should cost at least 4800 euros.

Flyer S-Pedelec

For a reasonable level, the completely new S-Pedelec of the U-Series of Flyer moves. The up to 45 km / h fast city bike should be wild in the world of the second car. As a novelty, it offers the Flyer Intelligent Technology (FIT), which integrates an automatic or manually switchable two-speed gearbox directly into the Panasonic mid motor. Further features of the U-Series are a 3.5-inch display on the handlebar and an electrically controlled control unit for the communicating elements engine, gearbox and light. Thanks to the side rack sensor, the high-tech wheel can even be broken when driving at the time of travel.

Koga e-Xite

Significantly cheaper than the flyer novelty is the new City Pedelec e-Xite from the Dutch manufacturer Koga, which is offered in two variants. The unsprung e-Xite offers a carbon fork and a ten-speed chain circuit, disc brakes and Bosch’s pull-strong CX engine. Somewhat more comfortable is the E-XITE N8 with suspension fork, eight-speed hub gear, hydraulic rim brakes and the Active-Line drive also from Bosch. Both models are available from spring 2017 with diamond or mixed frames from 3400 euros.

Flyer Uproc 7

In addition to city and touring bikes, mountain bikes with electric drives are currently in particularly high demand. Uphill, off-road fun can quickly become torture. A built-in "lift" opens up new possibilities, especially for the untrained. The new Uproc 7 from Flyer, for example, offers this built-in thrust. As with the U series, the Uproc, which can be used as a competent trail machine, has a mid-engine with a two-speed gearbox in combination with a Shimano XT or SLX gear system on the rear wheel. However, it was saved to intermediate steps. "This gives us a narrower E-Block cassette that causes less chainring. So we minimize the wear of chain and cassette, "explains SRAM product manager Marcus Schneider the new switching set.

Speaking of wear: Another interesting accessory option specifically for electrically powered moutain bikes offers swallow with the all-rounder tire Nobby Nic Double Defense. Seven new from Kalkhoff

Even before the Eurobike, Derby Cycle Holding, with the trademarks Kalkhoff, Focus, Raleigh, Univega and Rixe, the revenue-stared bicycle manufacturer in Germany, on a home trade fair presented the news of the 2017 season. Alexander Hulsmann, Manager of the Kalkhoff brand, refers to the SELECT family with seven models, which is new in the program. "From electronic circuit, automatic up to the belt drive are all major comfort features available," he emphasizes. Choice is chain switching or belt drive with hub gearbox. Both are equipped with the impulse EVO drive (middle motor, 250 watts). 1. useful life?
What useful life have these raders actually with special components? Two years? Believe … You really, after 10 years you get even spare parts as with a good and cheap small car, happy to use at the same price? And not only the manufacturers, even the weather in this country makes them wet and muddy.

  2. Buy only brand bikes
Unfortunately, I bought a e-bike of Keeway (still available to buy, depending on the shop for 1500- over 2000 €), since I wanted to do cycling tours with my son. Since I’m physically hindered, a normal wheel is out of the question, the child pendant is very difficult. And after 7 months the battery was, not even the dealer where I bought the wheel could help me. Other traders could not get a replacement or repair me. At the next wheel, I pay attention to that it is from a well-known manufacturer. Now I have a very expensive bike at home that I can not use anymore. So rather spend more money and have fun for a while.

  3. Over 3000 euros and heavy as lead plates
That’s what I call progress. A good tracking wheel weighs approx. 11 kg and you throw with little effort through the area, but only costs a fraction of the e-bikes. Let the battery together and the engine together Ca. Weigh 2 kg if you really work with state-of-the-art materials, then we would be at CA. 13 kg weight compared to a tracking wheel. Where did they hide the lead plates of this e tank? In the frame, in the rims? This is all physics love manufacturers, builds light e-bikes and the range doubles automatically and you do not need moped brakes to stop the driving back. To remain silent from easy handling. Since I still recognize seem a lot of air to optimize and at the same time clear the price to screw down.

  4. I give them right, but
It is not so easy to use the weight of the normal bikes. If you have ever had a car battery in your hand, you know how hard can be batteries. Li-ions are lighter, but engine (there are proper copper windings in it) and battery Sin unfortunately much heavier than 2kg. The remaining momponents are partly better. I almost only installed XT.

  5. Savings tip:
Have a few years a decent mountain bike with good circuit + ordinary disc brakes. I have upgraded the bike since spring 2016 with a Chinese mid-engine ( "Bafang") for 500 € (bought in Germany), – purchased a battery (36V / 11Ah) for 350 €. I did the conversion myself – it was very easy if you don’t have 2 left hands and all thumbs. Everything works fine. The battery prices are constantly falling – I will buy a battery with a higher capacity in 2-3 years.

  6. As great as I think e-bikes are…
Tell me, dear manufacturers, what is so ridiculously expensive about these things ??? 3400€, that used to be 6700 DM ! For an e-bike with Buchhalter equipment, without front and/or rear suspension. I bought my first moped for around 1,500 DM, a HERCULES M5 S, front and rear suspension, two-speed motor, and aluminum rims…well, that was a stinking loud box, but technically certainly not backward. So what makes the wheels so expensive ? The battery ? The motor ? Or is it about striving for profit in favor of the shareholders ? So it stays with the old-fashioned for me "Patellar inflammation", So pure muscle power, with my full-sprung "Normal"…Is healthier anyway 😉

  7. Since 2016, great e-bikes revolutionize the market
The new bikes, from which I’ve already dangered various, are a real alternative to the car. The reaches of Kalkhoff are much higher than 200 km. Unfortunately, there are still many children’s diseases in the latest developments of Kalkhoff so that the wheels have a long time in the workshops. Service like spare wheels at total 6 weeks workshop does not exist.

  8. 4500 euros are too much
I do not want to afford that. There is no new products under 2000 euros? Or is the article only on rich?

  9. That’s usury
The prices are raised and have no relation to the production costs. Neither the engine, the frame, nor the battery justify a so exorbitant price. I can only advise everyone to replace the manufacturers of these grewer wheels with non-purchase.

  10. That’s not true!
Especially the 1. Post-war generation has exchanged the capital-covered pension for the payout system under Adenauer! Even then, it was clear that demographic will tilt the payer system sooner or later! In this respect, our parents are probably fused that the pension will no longer be enough in the future!

  11. Incredible
How much coal have the pensioners. Only buys beautiful e-bikes from our old age poverty. Generation contract Soso… With the e-bike smoke it is over when the next generation is in pension.

  12. Mr. Meyer, I have no pity !
Good for those who have a good pension through decent work. In addition to a new car, a beautiful home and a condellent-saved fortune and beautiful travel, the e-bike in this last phase of life is the least and also highly recommended and healthy.
