In 2020, boots with a Gore-Tex membrane from Held will also be available for the first time. Three models were presented at EICMA. Held now has the license to sell textile clothing, gloves and boots with the branded membrane.

Weatherproof clothing is almost a must among motorcyclists. Over the years, Gore-Tex has established itself as a leading brand in this area and is known for its absolutely waterproof membranes. hero had already provided some textile suits and gloves with Gore-Tex in the last collections – now the German manufacturer has also secured the license for the use of membranes in boots and is presenting three different models for the 2020 season.
Named after three lakes in the Italian region of Como, the Annone GTX, Alserio GTX and Segrino GTX models each come with their own specifications, but all run in the touring boot sector. All three are CE-certified according to EN standard 13634: 2015 “Protective shoes for motorcyclists”. They will be in stores from spring 2020.
Full cowhide and Vibram sole
The Annone GTX is the top model and is made from full cowhide. It comes with an inner shoe and reinforced heel, as well as two large zippers. It is adjustable on the calf with a Velcro fastener; The shin and ankle are protected by fiberglass inserts. In addition, a slip-, oil- and petrol-resistant sole from Vibram is installed. The shaft measures 31 centimeters and is available in sizes 37 to 50 and priced at 299.95 euros.

Leather-textile mix on the second model
The Alserio GTX consists of a leather-textile mix. It is also reinforced with fiberglass on the shin and ankles and comes with a calf adjustment. The Vibram brand sole, which is used in all three models, is also the same. Its shaft height is 30 centimeters, it is available in sizes 37 to 50 and for 269.95 euros.

Short shaft boots with Velcro
The Segrino GTX also consists of a mix of leather and textile, but is significantly shorter than its big brother Alserio and comes with a Velcro instead of a zipper. It is also equipped with a Vibram sole and contains protective fiberglass inserts. It is 27 centimeters high, available in sizes 37 to 50 and costs 239.95 euros.
