Announced at the beginning of August 2009, the KTM factory is entering a 3rd RC8 R in the German superbike championship, the IDM. The talented rider Jeremy Mc Williams will take the handlebars. To celebrate this alliance, the manufacturer is offering 100 units of an RC8 R Mc Williams Limited Edition. The hypersport is not adorned with the official deco for the IDM, but with a graphics particularly highlighting the renowned exhaust manufacturer Akrapovic. Quite logically, just below the big Austrian twin, there is an Akra Evo 4 pot … and that’s not all. This special series RC8 R is also equipped with the Club Race kit: new cylinder head gaskets, a different valve opening diagram and an optimized injection mapping boost the performance to 180 hp, exactly at the level of a certain 1098 A. That gives us 10 cannons more than the original RC8 R. Here is something to tickle the machines made on the other side of the Alps.
