The insurer France Motos Assurances (FMA), already a partner of the Legend of Heroes via its Challenge open to all types of motorcycles, is participating this year by entering two teams in the Hubert Auriol event from Paris to Dakar. Departure Saturday !

Among the 91 teams that will set off on Saturday at the foot of the Eiffel Tower for the third edition of the Legend of the Heroes, two teams will wear the colors of the FMA insurer: the first enters a motorcycle and a 4×4 while the second consists of two motorcycles.

2008 Calendar

  • March 6 and 7, 2008 : Administrative and technical checks

  • March 8, 2008 : Departure at the foot of the Eiffel Tower

  • March 9, 2008 : Stage in the south of France

  • March 10, 2008 : Stopover in Spain and embarkation in Almeria

  • March 11 to 21, 2008 : Stages in Morocco, Mauritania and Senegal

  • March 22, 2008 : Arrival in Dakar and last special at Lac Rose. Podium and awards ceremony
  • The car and motorcycle crew is led by Pascal Jaumouille, the CEO of FMA himself, and by Olivier Bouchet, responsible for the quotation and subscription platform. Philippe Durand, amateur rally driver, will drive the 4×4 to reinforce this team.

    The second team, made up of two motorcycles, is made up of two amateur riders reading Motorcycle Journal and D’Enduro Magazine, Ludovic Carat and Andre Guiton, who will be accompanied by Julien Boyer, marketing and communication manager at FMA.

    Last year, the insurer had already organized an "FMA Challenge" to open the Legend of Heroes to all types of off-road motorcycles, whatever their brand and year of manufacture (read).

    This year, the Legend of Heroes welcomes all types of motorcycles: the "Classic" category for all motorcycles manufactured before 1995 and the "Open" category for all other two-wheelers. Departure on Saturday for the 175 competitors spread over 114 vehicles (68 motorcycles and 46 4×4)…
