The carbon helmet LS2 XTRA MX 471 made a decent impression in the first test. The very low weight was particularly impressive.

Retro is in. Almost every two-wheeler manufacturer has motorcycle goods for old-school fans in their repertoire. The clothing industry cannot lag behind. With the XTRA MX 471 delivers LS2 brand new a headdress in a retro enduro look. Made of light 6K carbon, where 6K indicates that 6,000 individual fibers are combined into one yarn, it wears like a feather on its head.
Not a real bargain
With a measured 970 grams in size L, it even slightly undercuts the factory specification of one kilo. In addition, the XTRA scores with a great fit, does not press anywhere, fits like a comfortable sneaker. The interior, which is partially covered with real lamb leather, flatters itself on the head, and can be completely removed and washed using snap fasteners if necessary.
The double D-lock made of titanium closes securely, effective ventilation ensures not only the large face cutout, but also openings on forehead and chin. So far so good? Nice. However, the XTRA costs not little at 499 euros. Weight, workmanship and equipment with two helmet visors of different lengths, high-quality helmet bag, the limited edition of 10,000 pieces and a five-year guarantee provide good reasons for the price.

Conclusion
In the first test, the very good fit and the feather-light weight were particularly memorable. However, the carbon helmet from LS2 with a starting price of 499 euros is not a real bargain.
