Created in 1999, the German group SW-Motech would employ in Europe "more than 200 collaborators" and export in "more than 60 countries" its equipment of luggage and its accessories for navigation, ergonomics (risers of handlebars or footrests , for example), protection (engine guard, etc.) or maintenance.

Focused on "high quality production" in Asia and in its factory in the Czech Republic, SW-Motech supplies OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer: equipment supplied to manufacturers according to their own specifications) several brands of motorcycles such as Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Moto Guzzi, Suzuki or Yamaha. 

A new internal distribution network for France

Still little known to French bikers, the SW-Motech brand was until now distributed by Reaction but it opened its Paris office this summer to develop its own distribution network..

"It’s a bet on the future, we will start step by step", explains to Site Aurelien Szulek, responsible for the brand in France: "we will align the prices of our online sales site with those of our resellers, which benefit from a margin of 22 to 38% depending on their volumes ".

"Out of our annual turnover of 15 million euros, the OEM activity represents a third of the activity, the German market a second third and exports the third", continues Aurelien Szulek who intends to develop the market. in France against competitors such as on saddlebags and luggage, and Touratech on aluminum cases (for the R1200GS, in particular) or on engine guards.
