The Yamaha Tricity 300 switches to Euro5 and the Tricity 125 is preparing for it at the start of 2021
The Yamaha Tricity 300 3-wheel scooter exhibits Euro5 certification on its 28 hp single-cylinder without technical upheavals while the Tricity 125 will wait a little longer, time to sell out Euro4 stocks. Explanations.
The Tricity 300 officially Euro5

In practice however, the reclining 3-wheeler from Yamaha does not evolve one iota: its engine described as "one of the most advanced on the market" was already ready for Euro5 when we confronted the Piaggio reference! Its block of 292 cc therefore retains its 28 hp and 29 Nm, or nothing too much for its 239 kg.
No more changes for its hyper secure front end, in addition to being coupled with a locking more pleasant than the Roll-Lock of MP3 (review our. MNC also appreciates its complete protection and its hold where two full-face helmets are housed. the medal: this "small" 300 is close to the size of a "big" 500 !
Asked by MNC, Yamaha France replied that the price of this "new" Tricity 300 Euro5 will only be known "at the beginning of September 2021". In the absence of changes, inflation should be slight – if not zero – compared to the 7,999 euros currently requested by this scooter available in black or gray.
It should also be remembered that three option packs are available between 420 and 540 euros – with various protective, comfort and covering equipment – and that the Tricity 300 can be driven with a simple car license (B) and a training course. 7 hours. Or the motorcycle license (A), of course !
Tricity 125: meeting at the start of 2021 for Euro5
The, first Yamaha 3-wheel scooter launched, remains on its side to the standards of the previous standard until the beginning of next year. Yamaha takes advantage of the "end of series" quotas granted by Europe to all manufacturers to sell its Euro4 stocks before starting its Euro5 overhaul.
"According to local rules for derogating from the EU4 standard, the current Tricity 125 can be sold in 2021", recalls the Japanese manufacturer, before specifying that "the arrival on the market of an EU5 version is however scheduled for early 2021" . Phew: Euro5 does not sound the death knell for this clever 12.2 hp and 11.7 Nm tripod !

Currently priced at 4699 euros, this 3-wheeler emphasizes its compactness and maneuverability with motorists (license B) and young bikers (license A1). The lack of blocking of its front axle does not prevent it from being popular with a female audience, in part thanks to its volumes and its contained weight (164 kg).
