MNC: How are your days going? ?

G. V. : I get up early, I check and answer my emails from Japan, then I go to play sports for an hour (I alternate running and home trainer every other day) before starting my day by telecommuting to 8h00. Video conference with my teams or a specific person depending on the priorities of the moment and regular update with the Suzuki France management team. Phone call to the network to get news. We are now working on reopening the concessions and our head office. I take advantage of the end of the day to spend time with my family, which is usually rarer.

MNC: What do you miss the most? The least ?

G. V. : What I miss the most is human contact with my teams and my network, without a doubt! What I miss the least is air travel … I hate flying !

MNC: What are you afraid of ?

G. V. : Personally, I am worried about my loved ones and their health. From a professional point of view, no. We are going to face a major crisis that we will take years to erase, but I feel ready, with my teams, to face the rest, even if it will be difficult. We must not have any illusions…

MNC: A book, a film, a series, a record to recommend ?

G. V. : Without hesitation in book Michel Serres and in particular the "". This philosopher was incredible. It brings a perspective on the life and current events of our society. In these times of confinement, it does all the more good. There is a positive in every situation, so let’s take advantage of these moments. In film, I think of "Lawrence of Arabia" that we have just seen as a family. First, he was an avid biker (even if it ended badly) … Then, it sheds light on part of the history of the Middle East. The landscapes in the film are magnificent. And T. E. Lawrence’s psychological journey is also very interesting: a man who was a soldier, therefore with precise and rigorous codes and framework, who finally reveals himself in the desert through very strong human experiences..

MNC: Your Favorite Motorcycle Video ?

G. V. : Suzuka 89 with Schwantz and Rainey! Otherwise, Suzuka 91 with Schwantz, Rainey, Doohan, Kocinski is not bad at all either! Most recently I vibed loudly on with Rins Vs Marquez.

MNC: The first thing you will do at the end of the lockdown ?

G. V. : Take back my motorbike which has been waiting for me for too long !
