Praised by many bikers around the world, the was joined in 2016 by a half-portion: the Sixty2 which, as its name does not indicate, cube 399 cc and is primarily intended for "young people". Live discovery of Milan.

Launched in 2015, the "Scrambler" brand has so far included four versions of the same bike: Icon, Classic, Urban Enduro and Full Throttle, all articulated around the same 803 cc twin and the same chassis as simple as convincing.

Next year, the family will grow with the arrival of a Scrambler with an engine twice the size: an L-Twin still, air-cooled, but this time cubing 399 cc. The new motorcycle, called Sixty2 in reference to the year of release of the first Ducati Scrambler, will seek to appeal to young bikers..

"The Ducati Scrambler Sixty2 does not stop at enriching the range of the new Ducati brand", specify the Italians: "it paves the way for a new segment of two-wheelers which meets the expectations of those looking for a financially accessible motorcycle. , easy to drive and economical in use ".

On the driving side, we can expect the 400 Ducati to satisfy its owner, thanks to its full weight of 183 kg, its maximum power of 41 hp and its torque of 34.6 Nm. It will seem less explosive than the 800 (186 kg for 75 horses!), But that will not be a handicap, on the contrary.

"We noticed that a lot of customers were scared by the displacement of the Scrambler 800, but not by its physical aspect", observes at the microphone of Site Thierry Mouterde, director of Ducati West Europe (our full video interview to follow: stay connected!).

The handling of this "half-portion" Scrambler is therefore obvious, "the wide handlebars and the long saddle ensuring a relaxed and comfortable driving position", specifies Ducati. Let us add in passing that this novelty 2016 naturally meets the Euro4 standard and must include a standard ABS.

At the price level, however, the target may not be reached: displayed at € 7,990, the "sixty-two" is out of the reach of young people with permits and low incomes, while it was precisely inspired by "culture urban youth, skateboarding, street food, pop music and, above all, pop art "… To follow naturally on MNC: stay connected !
