Yamaha concretes its scooter range with a new Xmax 400
While an Xmax 300 is already inserted between the Xmax 125 and the Tmax 530 (s), Yamaha has decided to consolidate its offer – and its stranglehold – on the sports scooter segment by updating its Xmax 400 for 2018 ! Presentation.
The recent one could leave a doubt as to the conservation of the Xmax 400 within the Yamaha catalog. Today, the firm with three tuning forks – and three sports maxiscooters! – clarifies the situation: a 2018 version is on the program as of this start of the school year…
, The Xmax 400 still differs from its little brother by its double rations of disc brakes on the front wheel, overhead camshaft under the cylinder head cover and full-face helmets in the trunk. For 2018 he wins again in "distinction" !
While it retains its single-cylinder sound as it is, the new "four-hundred" scooter offers itself a facelift – it would be easily given 100 cc less -, a screen and a handlebar (!) Adjustable to two heights, a start by contactless electronic key, as well as a new traction control.
According to the manufacturer’s scale, the 2018 X-max 400 (210 kg) has lost five kilograms compared to the previous version … But at the same time it loses a liter of tank capacity (13 l). By relying on the consumption announced by Yamaha, the range still reaches 311 km. Enough to last a week … or go for a weekend ?
The price of this maxiscooter expected in September 2017 in Yamaha dealerships in France has not yet been revealed. The old model was priced at € 6,599, but its new "2018" attributes may raise the bill. Reasonably or generously? Stay connected.
