The event, known to be difficult, includes ten specials and an unprecedented 471 km route through the gorges and mountains of the Ain. The first stage includes a first "blank" lap allowing to take the specials of and of in reconnaissance, without timing..

Site rider Julien Toniutti, winner of the last two editions and is a big favorite: with his 47 point lead this year in the championship, the official KTM France (who changes model at each race!)
