As sulphurous and racy as they are, the MV-Agusta Brutale had so far never been entitled to Swedish nobility at the suspension level. Certainly Marzocchi and Sachs certainly do not deserve to be pilloried; but admit that the Ohlins stamp that equips the Brutale 1090 in this Corsa version, it really sends steak.
The spearhead of the Brutale range, the 1090 Corsa is therefore judiciously adorned with a full adjustable NIX fork 43 mm in diameter, while the shock absorber remains a Sachs element. Why hasn’t the manufacturer opted for a complete set of Ohlins suspensions?!? A bit of disappointment for a roadster that tends towards the exception.
This Brutale Corsa is not only distinguished by its front axle which tastes even more sporty and efficient. The cosmetic side goes with its shimmer. We distinguish the hand-sewn saddle with red stitching, a superb two-tone red and white dress, the trellis frame painted in shiny black, lighter forged rims and the standard Race ABS. Levers, footrests and fuel cap change to aluminum gray. In order to affirm its racing affiliation, “MV Agusta Corse” logos appear on the mudguard and the plate holder, all in carbon..
Produced in limited series, the Corsa galvanizes the RR version from which it takes up the essential. There is as much to be pleased as to fear: big 4 cylinders of 158 horses and more than 10 mkg, Brembo monobloc brakes taken from the sports F4, character and design typically Italian and 265 km / h announced. The beast is displayed at 3,000 euros more than the 1090 RR. An increase that is difficult to justify.
