MV Agusta offers its sculptural F41000R in an even sharper version: the F4 RR Corsacorte. MNC managed to obtain the first images of this jewel, but also its price (22,290 €), its power (201 hp) and its availability (end of May 2011).

Unveiled in autumn 2009 at the Milan Motor Show (read our), the F4 1000 R then made a strong impression: not only the Varese brand knew how to keep the original spirit of this Hypersport designed by Massimo Tamburini, but this new generation F4 "above all marks a turning point in the elitist commercial policy of MV Agusta.

More efficient (186.3 hp) and more modern (ride by wire accelerator, traction control, adjustable injection maps on the handlebars, etc.), the beautiful Italian is indeed less expensive than the old model: € 18,500 against € 21,000! A remarkable tour de force (well, for new customers …) that MV Agusta then justifies by the need to return its production "more competitive in the face of competition".

However, it is out of the question for the Italians to give up the ultra high-end and abandon the great house specialty: the design of luxurious and lucrative variations, like the breathtaking F4 CC, the motorcycle. the most expensive "standard" in the world (100,000 €)! Therefore, after the discovery of the F4 1000 R, the arrival of an F4 RR was at the very least sewn with white thread…

MV Agusta F4 RR Corsacorte: ready to race !

MV Agusta in Tours with Agostini

On June 16, 17 and 18, MV Agusta will be present at the 705 air base in Tours (37) to participate in the fiftieth anniversary of this structure responsible for training French Air Force pilots. On this occasion, the Italian manufacturer will unveil a limited series of F4s adorned with the new colors of the Alpha Jet (the French jet used for student training). Some "airplane Vs motorcycle" demonstrations would even be on the program! In addition, MV Agusta will take the opportunity to present its entire range alongside an ambassador of choice: Giacomo Agostini, the pilot with 15 world titles (including 13 with MV), who will also be celebrating his 69 years on June 16..

"The F4 RR is a real homologated Superbike", assures us Claudio Rizzotto, contacted by the editorial staff of Site to learn more about this novelty which for the moment only shows its power through the short video below: 201 horses, almost 15 more. than the F4 1000 R (186.3 hp) !

But the MV Agusta communications manager ended up revealing some exclusive details: firstly, this impressive increase in power would not be the result of an increase in engine capacity (currently 998 cc), but of a higher revolutions thanks to shorter connecting rods (and therefore a stroke): hence the name Corsacorte visible on the fairings of this F4 RR.

A deliberate technical choice because, as Claudio Rizzotto assures us, "MV Agusta has high ambitions for the next speed season, both with this F4 RR and with the future F3"(the, Editor’s note.

This is why there was no question of increasing the displacement on the F4 RR: the objective being to stay below the 1000 cc mark in order to meet the constraints imposed on 4-cylinders in competition … and in particular in World Superbike. where MV would see himself making his comeback in the world sprint championship !

This F4 RR will a priori easily find its place in this category, as its chassis also seems to have been seriously overhauled: we note the appearance of latest Ohlins suspensions at the front and rear instead of the elements. Marzocchi and Sachs unveiled on the F4 1000 R.

On the other hand, if the radial fixing monobloc Brembo calipers are visibly renewed in their function, it will be necessary to wait a little longer to know if this is the case for the Nissin master cylinder: MV Agusta wishing to keep secret the technical specificities of its Hypersport ultimate – which naturally delivers the same superb pencil stroke as the F4 1000 R – until next week…

But Site readers – who, as everyone knows, have a little more luck than the others – will not have to wait any longer to know its price and its availability in concessions: the beautiful Italian will be available for 22,990 euros from the end of May, reveals Claudio Rizzotto.
