We don’t change – too much – a model that works

Best seller in France of the English brand, the Speed Triple 1050 (read) knows its first evolution since its launch in 2005.

Among the major modifications, one notes – failing to observe for the moment – that the swingarm is entirely redesigned. Likewise, the rear part including the saddle, the brake light, the mud flap and the rear buckle trim are revised and the general line of the wicked roadster becomes lighter..

The Tiger for its part benefits from a new color: "Blazing Orange", the same as the Speed Triple.

Discreet injection

For 2008, America and Speedmaster "Cruisers" as well as all "Modern Classics" switch to EFI injection which "makes motorcycles cleaner, facilitates cold starts and improves the response to requests from the throttle", underlines Triumph.

Aware that this news was going to panic more than one, the British manufacturer wanted to camouflage the device on its Bonneville, T100, Scrambler and Thruxton! "The unique retro style of these icons remains unchanged as the injection bodies have been carefully designed to resemble carburetors.", hastens to reassure Triumph, which also offers approved Arrow lines.

Thruxton model receives new handlebars – "which reduces the pressure on the wrists", promises the manufacturer – while the new instrumentation allows to preserve the sporting spirit of the motorcycle. Finally, the mirrors at the end of the handlebars are fitted as standard.

As for the Cruisers, in addition to the adoption of injection, the America and Speedmaster are equipped with new tanks "giving motorcycles clear, light lines", even though their capacity goes from 16.6 to 19.9 liters.

Finally, the Rocket III are adorned with new colors: burgundy "Claret"for the Rocket III, red and white or blue and silver for the Rocket III Classic:"Cherry Red / New England White or Pacific Blue / Aluminum Silver", in the text !
