Vitpilen 401 and 701, Svartpilen 401: road Husqvarna arrive in 2018

The "white arrow" and the "black arrow" will be offered at the same price: 6,490 euros, which must be justified in priority by their originality, their clean lines, their meticulous finish, certain parts all tanned like the rims of the Vitpilen (and the low engines) or thought out like the luggage carrier of the Svartpilen…

On the mechanical level, Husqvarna skillfully relies on the parent company KTM: as expected – for a long time! -, its Cafe Racer and its Scrambler take up the 373 cc and 43.5 horsepower single-cylinder of the Austrian roadster, its tubular steel frame, its boxed swing arm, its WP suspensions and its "ByBre" braking equipped with Bosch ABS.

Scheduled for March 2018 just below 10,000 euros, the Vitpilen 701 uses exactly the same method as its little sisters: the Swedish stings from its Austrian cousin 690 Duke its main technical attributes (engine and chassis) but differs from it. greatly by his attitude and his look.

Like the 401, the 701 presents itself as a Cafe Racer: the short and narrow handlebars, the low and long tank, the saddle – almost flat and thin … All these modifications must make this Husqvarna a new motorcycle, in handling very different from that of the original roadster.

By detailing the technical sheet, the Journal moto du Net detects that the frame angle of the "average" Vitpilen is more closed by a degree and a half (25 °) than that of the "average" Duke (26.5 ° ), undoubtedly in order to relieve the pilot’s arms in the city and in the turns.

The Vitpilen 701 also has different rims, with 5 sticks a bit massive: some will regret that the much thinner 10 spoke rims of the Katoche were not kept … and others will complain of not benefiting 401 spoked rims !

However, it must be admitted that the wheels of the Husky blend very well with the whole bike, with its futuristic look ensured by trim and a beveled exhaust with matte finish, LED lighting (like on the 401) and a Offset license plate holder which lightens the awfully short rear part.

Finally, note that the Svartpilen 701 is also in the pipeline: if it does not yet appear on the French site Husqvarna (no date of availability or price therefore), its concept is already illustrated in a video published by the brand on his official YouTube channel and relayed by Site below.
