New Sym scooters 2016

Sym Maxsym 500 (prototype) Unveiled at EICMA in Milan (Italy), the future Maxsym 500 cc is currently only at the prototype stage. With a distinctly more modern and aggressive look than the current Maxsym 600, it still receives a "simple" single cylinder. A structurally limited engine compared to the most efficient twin cylinders in the category, especially that of its leader …

The general line of the Maxsym 500 is nonetheless superb, aggressive at will, with a sharp front end with dual headlight and LED bars topped with a sports bubble and protruding indicators.

This upcoming novelty features a beautiful inverted fork and a powerful braking system with petal discs and 4-piston radial calipers up front. It remains to be seen whether this sports device will be kept on the final version….

This feeling of high-end sophistication is further underscored by the presence of a camera to visualize what is happening behind. On the other hand, the controls and the dashboard presented on this prototype appear quite conventional….

This future spearhead of the Sym range will obviously have an ABS but also an "Idle Stop" system, automatically stopping the engine when stopped. We also note the presence of two storage compartments and a contactor with lock concealer, but a priori no "smart key" to start without inserting an ignition key.

Sym Joyride S 125/200

The Joyride gets a small facelift for 2016 with new headlights topped with a diode bar. It takes the opportunity to comply with Euro4 standards with the addition of combined braking as standard on the 125 cc model and ABS on the 200 cc version – which will not be imported into France. The sale price of the Joyride S 125 should remain below 3000 €.

Sym Joymax Sport version

The "Sport" version of the GTS 125i was unveiled at EICMA in Milan in new colors, such as this rather daring "camouflage" dress which we still do not know if it will be offered in France…

This 2016 vintage now has ABS braking and the "Stop and Start" system (automatic engine stop and restart).
