Second small China Harley?
Chinese motorcycle manufacturer Qianjiang Motorcycle has announced a new small cruiser model in China. The lines and the V2 engine are strongly reminiscent of the Harley Sportster models.

Qianjiang Motorcycle is considered to be an expansive Chinese two-wheeler manufacturer. Qianjiang Motorcycle is also the parent company of QJMotor and Benelli as well as development partner of Harley-Davidson for the upcoming entry-level model for Asian markets.

In a 15-second video, Qianjiang announced the QJMotor SRV300 model. The short video sequence shows a cruiser with a drop tank, a short stepped bench, two side exhaust pipes and a longitudinally installed V2 engine with an air filter box on the side. The entire lines are strongly reminiscent of the Sportster models from Harley-Davidson.
Target markets in Asia

Information from type approval documents for Asia assigns the V2 a displacement of 296 cm³. There is another picture to accompany it. Performance data are not mentioned. Around 30 PS should be in there for the liquid-cooled twin. The Chinese sources also assume that the QJMotor SRV300 is aimed directly at competitors such as the Hyosung GV 300 S Aquila or the Benda Motors Jinjira 300. Both models that are successful in Asian growth markets.

Not confirmed, but a connection to Harley-Davidson is also conceivable. With the SRV300 you would have another entry-level model with the typical Harley cut to hand, with which you could score points in Asia. The coming Harley-Davidson 338R has a different audience in mind with its flat tracker look and the liquid-cooled series twin.

Conclusion
A 300 V2 is still a long way from the big US models, but the SRV300 pretty much hits the American style when it comes to styling.
