The program is loaded in Ain this year, with a combination of three different loops to accommodate the mileage necessary for the validation of the stage for the French championship..

The day :

  • A prologue of around 40km takes the two specials of the course: Ceignes (2.4km) and Merpuis (3.2km) which will take place for the first time without a stopwatch, just to be able to take your bearings.

  • A long loop of 82km with the two specials which are this time timed has to be done twice

  • An average loop of around fifty kilometers, always with the two stages, to be done once

  • A small loop, identical to that of the prologue, is to be done once

  • 15mn of assistance will be allocated between each loop

  • Total: around 250 km and eight stages

The night :

  • A passage on the big loop

  • A passage on the medium loop

  • A passage on the small loop

  • Total: around 170 km including six specials

On the WBU side, the sun is shining bright: there were barely more than 110 drivers entered for this event a few weeks ago when the 21 drivers of the Challenge Central Team landed! With 132 committed, the Union Motocycliste de l’Ain largely balances the organization’s budget.

Among the entrants are Swiss and Italian drivers and even a very sympathetic Brazilian: flag in armband, it feels like the World Cup … road rally! The rallye de l’Ain has almost become an international event !
