The final of the International Rallies Championship 2009 in Corsica
From November 11 to 15, the Tour de Corse Moto sees the light again under the now emblematic imprint of Dark Dog, sponsor of the IRC: an event that promises a majestic course and which will crown the 2009 international rally champion. ! Presentation.
Small historical reminder for the djeunz: the first Tour de Corse Moto saw the light of day in 1977. Then, after having been honored by the participation of famous names such as Cyril Neveu or even … Nicolas Hulot, it gradually disappears after six editions.
But the Corsican events of the French championship over the past three years and the success of the last Dark Dog Tour on the Ile de Beaute (read) has revived the machine. !
Revival
This year, the Tour de Corse Moto is reborn with the first Dark Dog Moto Tour de Corse, the final event of the International Rally Championship (IRC) organized by .
And although being the scene of an international event, the Moto Tour de Corse remains accessible to all: international licenses for competitors under the IRC title, but also ordinary national licenses or "one event" licenses. Also note that with a supplement of 170 euros, you can even be classified in IRC !

On the program, the route with a total length of more than 1000 km is divided into four stages on three clover loops around Ajaccio:
- Friday November 13: Ajaccio / Porto Vecchio / Ajaccio (427 km, two specials)
- Saturday November 14: Ajaccio / Biguglia / Calvi (394 km, one special)
- Saturday November 14: Calvi / Ajaccio (166 km, night stage, one special)
- Sunday November 15: Ajaccio / Ajaccio (42 km, two specials)
A route that one guesses sublime, as the regions crossed are of recognized tourist interest !
From Ajaccio, the imperial city, passing through Porto Vecchio and its famous Palombaggia beach, Corte, a Paolian city and its citadel, or even medieval Calvi: so many superb sites, not to mention the magical landscapes around every bend !
