The motorcycle lubrication specialist Scottoiler is launching a new electronic chain oil system – the xSystem. The new product is available immediately through Scottoiler’s global distribution network.

Lubricating chains with a system has a long tradition. Some people regularly fall on their knees and grab a spray can, others swear by chain lubrication systems.

Easier assembly

Scottoiler has long relied on a largely automatic system that drips oil onto the drive chain in a metered manner. With the new Scottolier xSystem, the bulkheads rely on a microprocessor and three-axis accelerometer to ensure the chain is automatically lubricated with minimal operator input.

The dispenser unit is now attached with an adhesive pad.

Another essential feature of the new xSystem is the redesigned dispenser unit, which simply sticks to all surfaces with double-sided adhesive tape and thus offers a simple and effective solution for assembling the dispenser unit. This means that issues such as incorrect installation or insufficient optical integration should be a thing of the past. The dispenser is still attached to a suitable place on the vehicle (for example on the frame or under the seat) with a cable tie. Of course, the system still has to be connected to the on-board network.

xSystem costs around 260 euros

The xSystem offers 5 different flow rate settings ranging from 20, 50, 80, 120 and 150 seconds between each pump activation, so it can be easily adjusted at the push of a button to ensure optimal lubrication in all driving conditions. The xSystem can also be switched off manually if it is not used for a long period of time or if the motorcycle is being serviced. Individual settings are saved in the xSystem memory. If the xSystem is activated again, the chain will be oiled again to the preselected setting the next time it is used.

The new xSystem has the dimensions 150x46x45 mm and offers an oil volume of 60 ml. This should guarantee chain lubrication for up to 2,400 kilometers and in a temperature window of minus 10 to plus 50 degrees Celsius.

As a complete set with 250 ml of oil, the Scottoiler xSystem costs around 260 euros.
