What are the main players in the motorcycle world doing during the lockdown linked to the Covid-19 pandemic? Jacky Hutteau, sports commentator and connoisseur of small cars, spoke to Journal moto du Net.

MNC: Where are you confined ?

Jacques Hutteau : I am with Leonie, my wife, at home in the South-West, with the enormous advantage of a large garden.

MNC: How are your days going? ?

J. H. : Precisely, this garden needs maintenance and finally we spend a lot of time in the afternoon working there. I like it in this case a little less because there is really something to do … But time flies and we can not complain about being in the sun imagining all those who are confined to several in small apartments in town. In the morning, I stay at the office, checking the too few emails and calling family, colleagues and friends. And then soon I will tackle the storage of the office, the garage and the garden shed, there I still have plenty to do !

MNC: What do you miss the most ?

J. H. : Travel to all GPs and WSBK races, contact with teams and my work colleagues. And then obviously I can’t wait to see our daughter and her two little boys soon enough.

MNC: Are you afraid ?

J. H. : I’m afraid that this terrible lesson is not enough to understand that we must undoubtedly learn to live differently and to consume differently. I am worried for all our relatives, young and old, who risk a lot and whom I keep encouraging to avoid going out as much as possible.

MNC: A book, a film, a series, a record to recommend ?

J. H. : The Fables of La Fontaine where we all meet. I don’t watch TV a lot and not really series, but rather the Travel channel which offers us great outings. Recently I really enjoyed the Korean movie "Parasite"! If I had to keep only one record, it would simply be Maître Jacques Brel who gives me chills listening to it. Do you know his song ""? She leaves me speechless…

MNC: Your Favorite Motorcycle Video ?

J. H. : I had followed several videos of a guy who crossed Africa on a motorcycle stopping in the Sahara with a friend installed there, then left Paris to reach Beijing on a motorcycle. Really great trips with all the difficulties. Pastry chef by trade and originally from Normandy, he has lived in Australia for years and has made many trips. I was finally able to meet him with great pleasure during the !

MNC: The first thing you will do at the end of the lockdown ?

J. H. : I would first like to receive my daughter and her two little boys to have a good time together and be able to kiss them without fear (???) … Then go for a long walk towards the mountains and the sea, passing by by the countryside and stopping for lunch in a small restaurant in the South-West at my friends’ place …
