Brief description of the Suzuki GSR 750 in a half-sentence: simply great for roasting! If you only have this discipline of motorcycling in mind and disregard travel and two-person operation, the undisguised 750 series offers sporty country road pilots almost everything to be happy.

The Suzuki GSR 750 has been scurrying across the asphalt since 2011 and at times became a top seller in the Suzuki range. The (motor) wheel was by no means reinvented: As the successor to the GSR 600, they resorted to the tried and tested and superb motor of the super sports car GSX-R 750 and modified its characteristics. With 106 hp, the very short-stroke in-line four produces 44 hp less than the fully wired dispenser, but the torque is on par, and the design with its very harmonious proportions and individual exhaust was immediately well received.
Lots of steam, lots of motorcycle
In the first year of construction, however, ABS was not used. That came in 2012, but worked only moderately in the class comparison and wasted a lot of braking distance. But it was still perceived as a bonus. In general, however, the somewhat dull and weak stoppers are almost the only point of criticism of an otherwise very balanced, very good machine. The nasty box swingarm and the simple shock absorber are cheap to produce, but everything works fine. There is little to complain about, but more to praise. About the low consumption. Another half-sentence about the Suzuki GSR 750: lots of steam, lots of motorcycle – and that for little money.

2011 Debut of the Suzuki GSR 750, Type C5, as the successor to the GSR 600, which is still being sold off at the same time. In the first model year, the 750 is not offered with ABS. Rated power: 106 hp. Empty weight according to the manufacturer: 210 kg. Colors: red / black, black and white. A reduced-power variant with 25 kW (34 PS) is also available. Price: 8290 euros.
2012 The Suzuki GSR 750 is now available with an ABS from Bosch. Colors: blue / black, black, white. The empty weight increases to 213 kg. Price: 8590 euros.
2014 Edition with special paintwork in blue / white for 8790 euros. The 25 kW variant will be withdrawn from the range. Price unchanged.

Market situation
There are many prospective buyers, especially among those driving license upgrades, who see a good offer in the more than 100 hp, but good-natured Suzuki GSR 750. Although the 750 series is one of the bestsellers in the Suzuki range, the total stock is not so large that one can speak of an oversupply of used machines. Especially the younger clientele under 25 with a savings budget is looking for offers under 5000 euros, but these are quite rare. Most of them are 2011 models without ABS. With brake assist and mileage under 15,000 kilometers, you should rather expect more than 5500 euros for sensible machines.
The price difference to cheaply offered daily registrations and demonstrators with less than 1000 kilometers is of course small, because some dealers sell good items for less than 7000 euros. In particular, the equally cheap competition (Yamaha FZ8 and MT-09 as well as Kawasaki Z 800) is pushing the prices for brand new Suzuki GSR 750, which are sometimes available from 7500 euros. Prices from some private providers are excessive. Especially since they do not offer a guarantee, they will only get rid of their used ones if they can cite plenty of high-quality accessories as a sales argument.
sightseeing
The in-line quad, which is already known to be extremely reliable in the GSX-R 750, is no cause for concern, according to the workshops. The rest of the technology on the Suzuki GSR 750 is also considered to be problem-free – provided regular maintenance. You should have the complete checkbook shown to you anyway and check whether the brake fluid has been changed at least every two years. Otherwise problems with the ABS can arise.
Every 24,000 kilometers there is a relatively large inspection, so that some previous owners want to sell the Suzuki GSR 750 precisely then in order to save workshop costs of up to 500 euros. The steering head bearing is already over at 20,000 kilometers, depending on the load (attention: partial steam jet overdose!).
Silencers like the SC-Project (new for 380 euros) or the expensive Yoshimura exhaust are very popular and add value. Automatic chain oilers are also popular due to the lack of a main stand.
