Determined to crown the Supersport world crown this year after finishing second for the second time in his career last year, Jules Cluzel (MV Agusta Reparto Corse) had a perfect weekend at Phillip Island for the opening of the 2015 season: pole position and victory !

The Frenchman responded firmly to the offensives of his opponents on the first round to then firmly lead to the checkered flag and finish with more than three seconds ahead of his teammate Lorenzo Zanetti, who completed the double for MV Agusta (the first of the Italian brand in the Supersport World Championship).
Both riders finished ahead of Gino Rea (CIA Landlords Insurance Honda) who finished third after a fierce battle against Kyle Smith (Pata Honda) and Ratthapark Wilairot (Core Motosport Thailand).
The three-time champion Kenan Sofuoglu, victim of a straight ahead in the sixth lap, only joined the track in twentieth position and limits the damage by climbing to sixth place ahead of Alex Baldolini (Race Department ATK # 25), Roberto Rolfo (Team Lorini), Dominic Schmitter (Team Go Eleven Kawasaki) and Patrick Jacobsen (Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres).
Finally the young Grolandais Lucas Mahias (Kawasaki Intermoto Ponyexpres), who was racing at Phillip Island for the first time in his career, managed to climb to third place but was unfortunately forced to return to the pits to give up four laps of the arrival…
