Retro naked bike comes to Germany

The retro-styled CF Moto 700 CL-X naked bike is coming to Europe in 2021. Italy is the beginning. The new two-cylinder machine will be launched there in June. The market launch is also certain for Germany.

The Chinese can also do building kits. The Chinese motorcycle manufacturer showed how this works CF Moto at EICMA 2019 with the new 700CL-X. It will come to Europe from the second half of 2021 and should make life in the middle class difficult for Yamaha MT-07 and Co. In May 2021, CF Moto confirmed that the market launch in Italy will take place in June 2021. This means that the naked bike is rolling out in Europe at the same time as in Asia. The price for the 700CL-X in Italy is 6,400 euros.

The basic package includes a two-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 693 cm³, which generates 75 hp and a maximum torque of 68 Nm, and which hangs in a tubular steel bridge frame. The rear swing arm with upper cables is supported by a lying, directly hinged central spring strut on the frame. A USD fork guides and springs in front. Single-disc brake systems on both wheels are used to decelerate. An 18-inch rim with a 110/80 tire rotates at the front. A 17-inch wheel with a 180/55 tire is installed at the rear. The lighting uses LED technology throughout. A monochrome LC display in the cockpit provides information. The seat height is 800 millimeters.

Building on this, the Chinese had shown the Adventure, Sport and Heritage versions – only the latter coming to Europe. The transformation takes place in each case by appropriate add-on parts, similar to what Yamaha does with its 700 models.

While the area around the 13 liter tank remains the same in all versions, the Sport relies on 17-inch cast rims, steering stubs, a round LED headlight and a hump seat. In the Heritage variant, a high-cranked tubular handlebar, a stepped double seat bench, a bikini front fender and coarse road tires are installed.

CFMoto has also put a more sporty variant on the wheels.

The Adventure shines with wire-spoke wheels with studded tires, a cranked tubular handlebar, a small windshield and saddlebags. In terms of weight, all models should be around 196 kilograms. In Italy the 700 starts at 6,400 euros, in the Netherlands from around 7,100 euros. Prices for the German market have not yet been announced.

CF Moto will enter the middle class from 2021. The 700 CL-X is aimed directly at competitors such as the Yamaha MT-07. In terms of price, the Chinese are likely to undercut the competition. The 700 series will be launched in June 2021 in Italy, where the CL-X 700 Heritage will be available from 6,400 euros.
