Folding wheels are practical, they also fit into a small car trial. Tuftler have now developed a bike that even fits in a briefcase. Site shows the micro-bicycle.
The European Research Project Bike Intermodal has developed a prototype for a folding wheel that can be folded up on briefcase size and weighs only 7.5 kg. "Partners from the private and public sector from Italy, Sweden, Switzerland and Germany have worked on the innovative bike", it says in a press release.
Completely recyclable
"The wheel, which can be folded on the size 50 x 40 x 15 cm, can be easily stowed, transported or put in the restaurant, in the bar or in the cinema quickly in the corner", so the description. The individual components are also fully recyclable.
