Honda has adapted its mega bestseller Super Cub 125 for the 2022 model year. The new engine complies with Euro 5 and the Cub receives two-person approval.

the Honda Super Cub has been available in various displacement variants and versions since 1958 and has been built over 100 million times in over 60 years. The Super Cub has been shaping the topic of cheap mobility in many global markets for decades.
While the Super Cub is more of a commercial vehicle in Asia, it is more of a lifestyle vehicle in Europe. Accordingly, Honda has extensively adapted the Super Cub 125 for this market for model year 2022.
New single cylinder and a touch more power
In order to meet the requirements of the Euro 5 standard, the developers have given the air-cooled SOHC single-cylinder four-stroke engine a modified stroke-to-bore ratio as well as modifications in the inlet and outlet areas and a new engine management system. The new engine combines the crank mechanism of the Super Cub C 110 sold in Japan with the two-valve SOHC cylinder head and the power units of the current MSX Grom. The bore measures 50 mm, the stroke 63.1 mm, the compression ratio is designed for 10.0: 1. The maximum power is now 7.2 kW (plus 0.1 kW) or 10 hp at 7,500 tours, the maximum torque is 10.4 Nm at 6,250 rpm. The performance of the alternator has also increased.
When it comes to consumption, the Super Cub remains a stingy. Only 1.5 liters per 100 kilometers should run through the injection nozzles. With a tank capacity of 3.7 liters, stages of 250 kilometers are possible.

The Super Cub now comes with a two-seater bench.
The design of the Super Cub 125 for two-person operation is new. In addition, it now has a pillion seat roll, foldable pillion footrests and reinforced rear suspension and a newly tuned fork.
The equipment includes all-round LED lights, a keyless go system and a combined analog-digital display in the cockpit.
Honda has not yet announced prices for the new Super Cub 125, which is available in Matt Axis Gray Metallic with a red seat. The Euro 4 model was available for around 3,700 euros.
