Transmission output bearing not sufficiently fixed
The US motorcycle manufacturer Indian has to recall 616 Indian Challenger machines to the workshops in the USA. There may be problems with the transmission output bearing.

With the Challenger, the Americans launched a new model with a new V2 for the 2020 model year. And this new V2 is now causing problems. On a batch of 616 machines in the USA, the gearbox output bearing may not have been adequately fixed during final engine assembly. Under certain circumstances this can loosen or twist. The lubrication can tear off and the bearing can become stuck. The damage usually occurs with very low mileage (less than 80 kilometers). Machines that have already achieved higher mileage are obviously not affected by this problem.
Leave the motorcycle behind immediately
Bikes from the production period July 2019 to January 2020 are affected by this recall. Indian is now calling all owners of affected models back to the workshops with their machines. There the bearing is checked and, if necessary, fixed. However, she shouldn’t go to the workshop. Indian asks the owners to immediately abandon their motorcycle.
