The Suzuki Burgman is an authority on large scooters. In 2021 he will be 23 years old. And almost unchanged, because apart from a Euro 5 update and traction control, almost nothing was done.

Suzuki remains true to its line and cherishes the philosophy of very gentle model maintenance. Accordingly, the Suzuki Burgmann is only entering the 2021 model year with a few changes.

Less power, more speed

Adaptation to the Euro 5 standard was mandatory. To this end, Suzuki revised the timing and injection of the 400 cm³ single cylinder, gave it a double ignition and adjusted the engine management, the injection, the cylinder head and the catalytic converter. Nevertheless, the single cannot quite maintain his level of performance. Suzuki specifies 29.3 hp and 35.2 Nm. With Euro 4, the single cylinder still had 31 hp and 36 Nm. The top speed, however, increases from 133 to 135 km / h.

The Burgman has also made improvements in terms of safety equipment. A traction control that can be switched off, which prevents the rear wheel from spinning when starting, now keeps the scooter safely on course. Another new feature is an easy-start system in which the starter only needs to be operated briefly. The cockpit is enriched by a consumption and remaining range display.

New colors

The design concept remains unchanged for the model year, but the color palette has been re-mixed. The scooter is available in gray, black and the new color variant Metallic Mat Sword Silver. Now blue painted rims should create a bridge to the sports models. The seams on the newly upholstered bench are also blue.

The new Suzuki Burgman will roll out to dealers in late summer 2021. Prices will not be communicated until shortly before the market launch.
