Yamaha has revised the 125cc NMax scooter. In addition to the Euro 5 adaptation, it gets a completely new look, a new frame and a new paint job.

The 125cc four-stroke engine with variable valve control on the intake side manages the jump over the Euro 5 hurdle without any loss of performance. It remains at 12.2 hp and 11.7 Nm torque. The standard traction control should have little trouble with that. A start-stop system should reduce fuel consumption.

The redesigned front fairing promises more wind and weather protection as well as improved aerodynamics. The new LED double headlights and position lights also ensure a more dynamic appearance. A new paint finish rounds off the optics upgrade.

The changes to the frame should be invisible but noticeable: the newly shaped center tunnel creates space for a 7.1 liter tank, which is also placed more favorably in terms of the center of gravity. In the cockpit, there is a new LC display that can be networked with the smartphone via Bluetooth. The ignition is based on a keyless system.

The new NMax 125 will be available from dealers from February 2021 in the colors Anodized Red, Phantom Blue and Power Gray. If you want to hijack an NMax 125 from there, you have to bring at least € 3,299 (19% VAT) plus € 225 ancillary costs.
