The universe, endless expanses. But apparently in the not too distant future one will no longer be safe from the BMW even then R 1200 GS and their boxer engine. At least that seems to suggest photos that BMW has now published. Or rather, photo montages. They show the life-size BMW concept model “Hover Ride”.

It was initially created on a much smaller scale as a so-called “alternative model”, composed of the 603 parts of the Lego kit of a BMW R 1200 GS that has been available in specialist shops since the beginning of 2017 (price 49.99 euros, Lego article no. 42063). Now BMW trainees have recreated the life-size hover boxer from original series parts of a real GS – “full of emotion and creative joy, but without any claim to technical plausibility”, as a BMW press release put it quite earthly and soberly.

The life-size original parts model of the BMW “Hover Ride” was presented in the “Lego World” in Copenhagen in mid-February. It will then be on display at various locations in Denmark and later in the BMW World in Munich.
