MNC: Where are you confined ?

Cyril Zanaglia : I am confined to my home on the Belgian border, between Valenciennes and Lille, with my wife, my three daughters and my two dogs.

MNC: How are your days going? ?

C. Z. : With us there is not really a "typical day", the routine is not really our friend! Of course, there is a rhythm that was naturally set up between the video lessons for the older one who passes the baccalaureate and the lessons to be given to the other two, but my wife was able to encourage them to take charge. My 10 year old daughter gets up at 7:30 am and does her job immediately to be quiet! Thanks to that, I can devote myself fully to work and it’s really great because we take advantage of this imposed "break" to recreate synergies between our different activities – not just those related to sports – to really get together and carry the Racer brand with common values. Beyond that, we are also trying to provide the best possible support for our resellers in this period which is very difficult for everyone. We have therefore set up, for example, a "Drop Shipping" service, which allows bikers to order their pairs of gloves or protection from their usual dealer and have it delivered directly to them. We also offer special conditions to resellers who will have their summer implantation orders delivered, as well as hydroalcoholic gel at cost price to make their lives easier and avoid having to worry about it. In addition, we bought this gel from a Marseille perfumer who has stopped his usual activity to manufacture gel and 10% of the turnover achieved goes directly to hospitals in Marseille (in addition to the 2 tons he delivered to them for free) . We have other ideas in mind to help our resellers that we are studying, so between all that and the export for which I am also in charge, the days are very busy !

MNC: What do you miss the most? The least ?

C. Z. : What I miss the most is being able to move as I want, not out of need but out of desire. I have always given a very important place to my freedom, whether it be in my choices, in my words or in my actions and there I cannot take the bike on a whim to take a ride. I’m not mad at that because the current conditions are very specific, but it’s frustrating. What I miss the least is the daily routine punctuated by school hours and that sort of thing.

MNC: What are you afraid of ?

C. Z. : I am very afraid that we will not draw the consequences of this crisis which is not limited to this virus and that we will not make the right decisions in terms of consumption and lifestyle … I have three daughters and my number 1 priority is that they have a bright future !

MNC: A book, a film, a series, a record to recommend ?

C. Z. : The series "The Sopranos"! It’s a series that is not recent but that I love and that can be found in full on Amazon Prime.

MNC: Your Favorite Motorcycle Video ?

C. Z. : I don’t really have one that I prefer more than the others, it depends on the mood of the moment. I can remain without moving in front of one or one, just as we can stay with my wife glued to the program, which takes us around the world.

MNC: The first thing you will do at the end of the lockdown ?

C. Z. : Find an excuse to take a motorcycle ride, for example going to the bookstore to order the book of … or going to the hairdresser !
