"As soon as we are sure that these motorcycles meet the highest quality standards and that the whole manufacturing process is going well, we will increase our production quota", says Clemens Neese, one of the two new owners of the Horex brand..

1218 cc V6 Roadster

For the record, the Horex VR6 is a 1218 cc roadster presented at the Cologne show (read). Originally supercharged by a positive-displacement compressor, its engine was a six-cylinder V, claiming at the time a maximum power of 200 hp and a torque of 150 Nm..

Mistreated by the crisis, this "new-old" manufacturer (Horex had been dormant for more than half a century before being bought by two German manufacturers in 2010) finally chose to start marketing with a VR6 without a compressor, in order to limit costs (read).

The Horex VR6 in its finalized version would still develop 161 hp at 9,000 rpm and 135 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. It will be sold for 21,700 euros in Germany.
