New KTM 2013: ABS on the Duke 125 and 200
The small KTM 125 Duke 2013 benefit from a disconnectable ABS! Launched successfully in 2011, the Duke 125 took the opportunity to steal its 300 mm front disc from the Duke 200. The two motorcycles also change decoration.
The small KTM 125 Duke 2013 benefit from a disconnectable ABS ! Launched successfully in 2011, the Duke 125 took the opportunity to steal its 300 mm front disc from the Duke 200. The two motorcycles also change decoration.
According to KTM, the introduction of a disconnectable ABS on a 125 cc motorcycle is a great first! The, sold to date to just over 2,600 copies in France, will thus have a major advantage over its competitors, the CBF 125 in the lead (read our) !
And as this was not enough, the "mini" Duke will henceforth be equipped with the 300 mm front disc mounted on the 200 cc version of the Duke (instead of 280 mm until now). Thus, the smallest of the road KTMs will be able to boast of having "put the brakes" not only on the small Honda, but also on the sportiest 125s..
Indeed, the track bikes currently available on the market do not benefit from a larger disc! FYI, the front disc of the CBR125R measures 276 mm, that of the YZF R125 goes up to 292 mm, and only the Aprilia RS4 125 – and its twin, the Derbi GPR – equal the 300 mm of the Duke 125.
Unchanged from a technical point of view, the 2013 Duke 125 is adorned with new graphics very slightly different. The Duke 200 is also equipped with disconnectable ABS from 2013.
The 2013 KTM 125 Duke ABS will be available at a price of € 4,190 (or 300 euros more than the 2012), the 200 Duke ABS at € 4,600 (on request in the dealership), the 390 Duke ABS as standard at € 5,090 (with flanged version available for A2 licenses!), and the 690 Duke R, a limited edition of 65 copies in France at € 9,990.
Finally, the prototype of the presented on the Ducati stand in Milan should land in its road version from the end of 2013..
