Motorcycle video: Benelli (re) presents the 302R, his small-displacement sports car

The little sports car of Benelli takes its time, like all the new models of the brand – of Italian origin – which, once presented at "their" international EICMA show in Milan, take several years before being released in trade … When they get there !

Renamed "302R", the machine has hardly evolved from an aesthetic point of view: the name change is accompanied just by new graphics and new paintings, but the lines of the "novelty" (2017, 2018. ..?) remain scrupulously the same.
The technical sheet has not changed either: twin 300 cc, inverted fork of 41 mm, central rear monoshock, 260 mm "petal" disc and 4-piston calipers in front, 240 mm and single piston behind, 17 rims inch, 110/70 front and 150/60 rear tires, saddle 785 mm from the ground, 14 liter fuel tank…
Duly approved Euro4, the engine allows however to gain 2.6 hp and 0.4 Nm, on paper. That is to say a maximum power of 38 horses and 27.4 Nm, to be compared to the dry weight maintained at 190 kg. The 302R took its time to hit the track. We will now have to take our lap times !
Three colors are available on the Benelli France website: white and red exhibited at trade fairs, a less messy black and red and the essential silver and green!
