In fact, the lines of this new bike are even less sharp than those of the 2014 YZF-R125 recently tested by MNC (read our). The cycle part is of the same barrel, with a tubular steel frame and basic peripherals

Here, no XXL inverted fork or radial front brake caliper as on the 125cc: the "R25" is less flashy than the YZF-R125.

Nothing illogical insofar as this 250cc powered by a twin cylinder is for the moment reserved for emerging markets, while the 125 is by Yamaha’s own admission "designed and built in Europe for European customers".

Still, these European customers would surely welcome the arrival of an "R25" – or even an "R30" – on the Old Continent, in order to offer competition to and to the expected. The project would be all the more attractive given that Yamaha has an excellent chassis base with the YZF-R125, considered oversized by MNC with regard to its displacement. A larger and more powerful engine would easily find its place. !
