- MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS 4 new police motorcycles for Milan
- Police fleet now with 8 MV Agustas
- Automatic clutch and electronic chassis as standard
The new police motorcycle for the Milan relay: MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS.
Four fully equipped motorcycles were handed over to the police by MV at the beginning of February 2021.
At the official handover: Moto2 driver Simone Corsi, police chief Giuseppe Petronzi and Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce also rolls into the police configuration with its three-cylinder with counter-rotating crankshaft.
The in-line engine has a displacement of 798 cm³, from which it generates 110 hp at 10,150 rpm.
The maximum torque of 80 Nm is at 7,100 rpm.
Bracket for radio antenna and blue light.
The cases offer 60 liters of storage space.
In the standard trim, the Turismo Veloce weighs approx. 212 kilos (empty weight).
In the police version, it should be a few pounds heavier.
It is painted in the official blue of the Italian State Police.
The not quite standard cockpit of the police MV.
The navi is already included in the price of the Lusso SCS.
The large color display in the cockpit may be obscured by the controls on the handlebars.
Siren and warning lights are operated on the left of the handlebar.
If the blue is not enough to make it clear that it is a police vehicle, here is the lettering “Polizia”.
The view of the windshield from above in front.
Extra lights on both sides.
However, they do not fulfill the function of daytime running lights, but signal in a blue signal tone: “Watch out, police”.
This is what the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS could look like when the road is closed at night.
The cases on the Turismo Veloce are also available for non-police officers, but of course not with blue accents.
Blue light in the rear area.
The horn gets a crash bar.
We cannot judge whether the MVs will help to make Milan safer. But the drivers will probably have a good time.

MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS
4 new police motorcycles for Milan
On February 4, 2021, MV Agusta handed over four brand new, fully equipped Turismo Veloce Lusso SCSs to the Milan police at Questura Police Headquarters.
The four new ones join them fully equipped and in the official blue of the Italian state police MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS to the other two Turismo Veloce and the two rivals that are currently already in the motorcycle unit “Nibbio” of the Milan Police Headquarters are on duty. This doubles the police MV Agusta fleet.
Police fleet now with 8 MV Agustas
The Milan police chief Giuseppe Petronzi and Timur Sardarov, the CEO of MV Agusta, attended the official handover ceremony at the Milan police headquarters. Moto2 rider Simone Corsi, who drove an MV Agusta F2 in the colors of the Fiamme Oro police sports organization in Misano last September, was also there.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce also rolls into the police configuration with its three-cylinder with a reverse crankshaft. The in-line engine has a displacement of 798 cm³, from which it generates 110 hp at 10,150 rpm and a maximum torque of 80 Nm at 7,100 rpm. With 22 liters, the fuel tank is also well sized and should allow a range of 300 kilometers. The side cases provide 60 liters of storage space – enough to stow emergency equipment and the service weapon.
Automatic clutch and electronic chassis as standard
The Lusso SCS variant of the MV Agusta Turismo Veloce is equipped with a blibber, electronic chassis, automatic clutch (SCS stands for Smart Clutch System) and navigation system as standard. Sirens and warning lights are a matter of course in the police version.
The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS weighs around 200 kilograms and has a payload of 205 kilograms. In several fuel-consumption trips, the MOTORRAD testers also determined a consumption of 5.3 liters per 100 kilometers, the top speed is 230 km / h.
The agile Turismo Veloce should help the Milan police to make the city safer. We cannot judge whether that will help. But the drivers will probably have a good time when they are out and about with their new emergency vehicles. How do we come to this statement? See test conclusion in MOTORCYCLE 12/2020.
